The mountains surrounding Helena, MT looming over frozen waters.
Montana is a beautiful place to live. All too often our surroundings go unnoticed due to an insidious mix of time, proximity and familiarity. The pristine snow capped mountains in the distance. Storms brewing to bring yet more snow to the earth. The calm of the frigid depths kept at bay under a thick sheet of ice. The people and places in between that make up the abundance of what we know and love about the place we live. They all come together to form a seamless tapestry of beauty laid out before us every day.
Sadly, for many, the picturesque environments all around us are obscured by the busyness of daily affairs. Stop, look around, and marvel at the wonder of the world we live in. Wherever you are there is a beautiful scene to be found. Make it a habit to slow down and appreciate it.
Find beauty wherever you are.

Now why can't it look like that and still be 75 degrees and sunny?
Wow! Just wow! I understand you're a photographer? How exactly did you do the illusion of the clouds as if it's on foreground on the 2bd photo?
Thanks for the kind words.
The effect you see there isn't visual trickery actually. The darker area in the foreground is a shadow cast by a fairly large cloud overhead onto the frozen lake in the center. Being frozen over the lake provided an interesting visual dynamic to the shots because it reflected the light in different ways depending on the cloud cover.
